Are we really civlised & secular. Why our leaders betrayed hindus during 1947?

Two leaders sign agreement on Partition 1947 based on Jinnahs two nation theory without taking consent of people.
One Army kills community belonging to other religion while the Muslim Government takes over the hindu properties as abandoned properties bringing the survivors on roads
When survivors wanted compensation and justice in the other part of the nation, they are considered fundamentalists %26 communal
Jinnahs two nation theory still not implemented and still remains un fullfilled business of partition
Answers:
During the unfortunate turn of events in 1947 leading to partition of Indian sub-continent, we had become the victims of circumstances. The seeds of separation had been sown long back since Muslims were always scared that their interests in a hindu majority nation would not be protected. But behind all this was the failure of our leadership who could not read the situation at that time, the hindu leaders kept on appeasing the muslims to remain within a united India, again it was M.A.jinnah who seized the opportunity and impressed upon the British that there was no alternative to partition, Jinnah succeeded where Gandhi failed miserably. Jinnah had his own personal reasons for partition, but he was more of an Englishman rather than a devout Muslim, I think he had some vested interest in partition of Indian sub-continent because he refused to listen to any logical reason and was bent upon division of India on the basis of religion. The rest is history millions of people were massacred and rendered homeless the wounds have not healed til date and will never heal because our leaders have failed to learn from history and continue to make the same blunders that led to the division of the country. The people who suffered the most were the poor ordinary people on both sides, but the elitist classes remained largely unaffected specially in West Pakistan who kept a control over East pakistan until 1971 when a new nation was born called Bangladesh. The ordinary masses at all times are made the guinea pigs by the so called elitist leaders and the people always have to suffer the bad decisions and failures of such leaders. Nothing has changed until today, ordinary people continue to be taken for a ride and are expected to make sacrifices whereas the corrupt leaders are busy ruining this great country and slowly bleeding it to death.
Actually inspite of the best efforts of the Congress leadership under Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru, Vallabhai Patel, Abdul Kalam Azad to avoid partition, the british policy of divide and rule and Mohammad Ali Jinnah becoming a pawn in the hands of the Brithish is the reason for the partition. The British were hell bent on dividing india as they feared that a united india would pose a threat to their imperialist world view. It is the British who are to be blamed for this, and Jinnah provided them the excuse to do so, as he played an instrumental part in playing on the fears of the muslims and in inflaming communal feelings leading to riots, lootings, rapes, and chaos. This lawless situation artificially created by the British using the fears of some radical and opportunistic mulism leaders was responsible for partition. There were many nationalistic muslim leaders in the Congress who fought side by side with hindu leaders, and finally when the goal of complete freedom was almost acheived the British took their revenge for being kicked out of india by the Congress and succeeded in dividing india. The two nation theory was actually a british idea which was latched upon by Jinnah for his own selfish purposes. Some fundamentalists among muslims used this as an opportunity to wreak havoc on the secular fabric of india by tearing the country into pieces.
Even today Pakistan remains a theocratic state while India remains wedded to the principles of secularism. The fundamentalists and radicals took control of the destiny of Pakistan and turned it into an islamic state. The hatred, fear, and intolerance has resulted in the persecution of Hindus in pakistan and a great deal of injustice has been done in the name of religion to the hindu minority in pakistan. India has been tolerant, secular, and democratic and has treated minorities with respect. India's progress and Pakistan's downfall as a nation is all too apparent today. This only proves that a nation cannot be built on the foundation of hatred, fear, greed, fundamentalism, and violence.
