Are traffic tickets in Iowa considered misdemeanors, felonies, or?

I am applying for a job as a county dispatcher in Texas. The application asks if you have ever been convicted of a crime in civilian or military court, and for this purpose, conviction of a criminal offense includes paid fine, time served, placed on probation and court ordered restitution. Do minor traffic violations (oper. w/o registration and defective muffler) count as a misdemeanor, felony, or should I not list these, as they are my only legal offenses? Thanks for your help.
Answers:
those are non criminal traffic offenses
I would not report them because they may think you are a bit of a moron for doing so. But you might want to ask them to clarify, explain to them you got a traffic infranction, it's really never an issue, a traffic infraction isn't, but you want to be sure to be thorough.
they're usually called violations.
don't worry about it for a job application.
Traffic tickets are neither misdemeanors nor felonies, and you don't have to list them on an employment form.
Depends on the ticket. Most of them are just Violations. But, Reckless Driving is a misdemeanor.
Personally, I wouldnt list them...I dont think they matter unless the job you are applying for involves driving.
